Please read these terms carefully before using our services or enrolling in our programs.

Agreement to Terms

By accessing our website or enrolling in Zambia Digital Skills Accelerator ("ZDSA") programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ZDSA, powered by Ephesus Consultancy Zambia, operating as an educational institution in Zambia.

Definitions

"Services" - Our educational programs, courses, platforms, and related materials

"Student" or "You" - Any individual enrolled in or applying to ZDSA programs

"Sprint" - A modular course unit within our curriculum (typically 1-2 weeks)

"Platform" - Our website, learning management system, and digital infrastructure

Enrollment and Eligibility

Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be at least 16 years old to enroll in ZDSA programs
  • Students under 18 require parental/guardian consent
  • You must have access to a computer and reliable internet connection for online programs
  • Basic computer literacy is recommended but not required

Application Process

Submitting an application does not guarantee enrollment. ZDSA reserves the right to:

  • Review and verify all application information
  • Request additional documentation or interviews
  • Accept or reject applications at our discretion
  • Limit class sizes based on capacity

Account Creation

Upon enrollment, you will create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete information
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

Payment and Fees

Pricing Structure

ZDSA operates on a pay-per-sprint model:

  • Each sprint is priced separately and can be enrolled in individually
  • Pricing is displayed on our website and subject to change
  • Discounts may be available for full program enrollment (all 5 sprints)
  • Payment is required before the sprint start date

Payment Methods

We accept payment via:

  • Mobile money (Airtel Money, MTN Mobile Money)
  • Bank transfer
  • Credit/debit cards (via secure payment gateway)

Refund Policy

Important Refund Terms

  • Full Refund: Available up to 7 days before sprint start date
  • 50% Refund: Available 3-6 days before sprint start date
  • No Refund: Within 2 days of sprint start or after sprint begins
  • Processing Time: Refunds processed within 14 business days

Late Payments

Failure to pay by the due date may result in:

  • Suspension of access to course materials and platform
  • Removal from the current sprint cohort
  • Forfeiture of enrollment slot
  • No certificate issuance until full payment is received

Student Responsibilities

Academic Integrity

You agree to:

  • Complete all assignments and projects independently (unless group work is specified)
  • Not plagiarize, copy, or submit others' work as your own
  • Properly cite sources and give credit where due
  • Not share solutions to graded assignments with other students

Attendance and Participation

  • Online Programs: Attend scheduled live sessions; recordings available for makeup
  • In-Person Programs: Minimum 80% attendance required for certificate
  • Active participation in discussions, stand-ups, and demos
  • Submission of all required projects and assignments

Code of Conduct

All students must:

  • Treat instructors, staff, and fellow students with respect
  • Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior
  • Not disrupt classes or interfere with others' learning
  • Follow instructor directions and platform guidelines

Intellectual Property Rights

ZDSA Content

All course materials, including but not limited to:

  • Curriculum, syllabi, and lesson plans
  • Video lectures and recorded sessions
  • Code examples, templates, and starter files
  • Signature lab descriptions and instructions
  • ZDSA branding, logos, and website content

...are the exclusive property of ZDSA and protected by Zambian and international copyright laws.

License to Use

ZDSA grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

  • Access and view course materials for personal educational use
  • Download materials for offline study during enrollment period
  • Use code examples and templates in your personal projects

You May NOT:

  • Share, distribute, or resell course materials to others
  • Record, screenshot, or redistribute video lectures
  • Create derivative courses or competing programs using our content
  • Remove copyright notices or ZDSA branding from materials

Student Work

You retain ownership of projects and code you create during the program. However, by enrolling:

  • You grant ZDSA the right to showcase your work in portfolios and marketing materials
  • We may use anonymized student projects as teaching examples
  • You agree to give ZDSA credit if your work references our curriculum

Certificates and Credentials

Upon successful completion of a sprint or full program, you may receive a certificate. Requirements:

  • Completion: Finish all required labs and assignments
  • Attendance: Meet minimum attendance requirements (80% for in-person)
  • Payment: All fees must be paid in full
  • Conduct: No serious violations of our Code of Conduct

Certificate Validity

ZDSA certificates are proof of completion and skill acquisition. They are not accredited degrees or professional licenses. Employer recognition may vary.

Termination and Suspension

Your Right to Withdraw

You may withdraw from a program at any time. Refunds are subject to our Refund Policy (see Payment section).

ZDSA's Right to Terminate

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your enrollment for:

  • Non-payment: Failure to pay fees by due date
  • Academic dishonesty: Plagiarism, cheating, or fraud
  • Misconduct: Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior
  • Violation of Terms: Breach of these Terms of Service
  • Illegal activity: Using our platform for unlawful purposes

No Refund on Termination

If ZDSA terminates your enrollment due to misconduct or policy violations, no refund will be issued.

Disclaimers and Limitations

No Job Guarantee

While ZDSA provides job-ready skills and career support, we do not and cannot guarantee:

  • Employment or specific salary outcomes
  • Interviews or offers from specific employers
  • Success in technical interviews or coding challenges

Service Availability

We strive for 99% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for:

  • Platform downtime due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues
  • Internet connectivity problems on your end
  • Third-party service failures (hosting, email, payment processors)

Curriculum Changes

ZDSA reserves the right to:

  • Modify curriculum content to reflect industry changes
  • Replace instructors or adjust teaching methods
  • Cancel or reschedule sprints due to low enrollment
  • Update technologies and tools used in courses

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY ZAMBIAN LAW, ZDSA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OUR SERVICES.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific sprint or program in question.

Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of ZDSA services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

By agreeing to these Terms, you also consent to our Privacy Policy.

Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

Informal Resolution

If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact us first at support@zambrite.com. We will attempt to resolve the issue informally within 30 days.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Jurisdiction

Any legal action arising from these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Lusaka, Zambia. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of these courts.

Changes to These Terms

ZDSA may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top
  • Sending email notification to enrolled students
  • Posting a notice on our website

Your continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use and may withdraw subject to our Refund Policy.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ZDSA regarding your use of our services, superseding any prior agreements or understandings.
